In Nigeria, thousands of survivors of Gender-Based Violence are denied justice, not because the laws are absent but because the legal and social systems meant to protect them are fragmented and failing. From Police officers to courtrooms, from family homes to institutions, barriers arise at every step of the justice pathway. While the problem is global, this article examines the Nigerian context, exploring why so many GBV cases never reach court and what must be done to close the justice Gap.
