The vision of the initiative is to create a free and just society, where people will have a holistic understanding of their rights and have access to justice at all times..

mission

  • To provide pro-bono services to indigent members of the society

  • Advocate for inmates awaiting trial and help decongest prisons in NIgeria.

  • Advocate for a just and transparent criminal justice system in Nigeria

  • To help Nigerian Prisons in its effort to rehabilitate inmates.

  • To raise awareness of the ills of the criminal justice system in Nigeria an to advocate for reforms.

  • To collaborate with organizations with similar objectives to bring about reforms in the criminal justice system in Nigeria.

  • Legal services for pre-trial detainees and prison decongestion

  • Free legal services and counseling for domestic violence victims

  • Pro-bono services to indigent members of society and inmates without representation

  • Human rights awareness campaigns and sensitizations

achievements of the initiative

  • The 2018 Apostles in the Market Place (AiMP) award for pro-bono legal aid and access to justice, presented by Prof. Yemi Osibanjo SAN, GCON, the Vice-President of NIgeria on the 29th of October, 2018.

  • Counselling of over 300 inmates in Suleja and Dukpa prison farm centres.

  • Human rights sensitization campaigns, reaching about 400 people in Jikwoyi community, FCT, Abuja.

  • Representation of over 30 inmates and the release of about 22 of said inmates.
